Marlburian - 7 Years War - Napoleonic - Colonial - ACW - Franco-Prussian War

19th century colonial gaming has a small but fanatical following at the club. We play Sudan/NWF in 15mm and Zulu War/Darkest Africa in 25mm. Rules used include Larry Brom's "The Sword and the Flame", GDW's "Soldier's Companion" (soon to be reprinted by Heliograph Inc) and Wessex Games' "Voyages Extraordinaires". We also occasionally venture into the realms of Victorian Science Fiction, with land ironclads and aerial flyers.

Phil Barker's New Horse and Musket Rules still underdevelopment

We have been play testing Phil Barker's new horse and musket rules, Horse Foot and Gun which we started to play test last June 2001.
15mm Napoleonic and Franco-Prussian War games have been played so far but Marlburian and ACW will be tested soon when we have armies painted.
The club first play tested an early version of HFG back in 1993 a simplified ACW set of the rules using 6mm figures the photo below was taken at the Phalanx wargames show in St Helens in 1993.
