So a completely a-historic set-up my Ch'in versus Geoff and Spike's Anglo-Norman.
The lower aggression Anglo-Norman invaded and got fairly lucky with terrain; good use of fields meant there were only 2 pieces of terrain that affected the game.
On the Ch'in right a small orchard where 2 Ps skulked all game, and in the Anglo-Norman centre a large rough hill, breaking up the deployment area. Deployment dice: 2 and 2; 4.00 AM in the summer; 2 hours before dawn. The Anglo-Norman decided on a sneaky night attack.

The Ch'in set up with a PkF block on their left and some PsO extending the flank across another hill, BwO and BdF behind some TF towards the right and refused a bit, with some LHF holding the gap to the orchard; the chariot command between and to the rear, and a single element BgO fortified in the rear.

The Anglo-Norman set up Welsh BwO + PkF to their right, with Anglo- Norman BwI + SpI inboard, and to the other side of the hill two commands of KnF up front and yeoman SpI skulking in the rear.
Because of the night attack in my first three bounds my Ch'in just sat there, and the Anglo-Norman came forward slowly as visibility was only 160p. 5.00 AM the sun rose and the Anglo-Norman Welsh allies on their right, BwO in front of PkF, were both visible and within move distance of my PkF block.
So my first move, notionally my fourth bound, is into contact without any pesky shooting; PkF v BwO and on the flanks PsO v PsI. This proves to be a very slow area of battle, 9 bounds until the Welsh are disheartened and another one until the Ch'in PkF are.
Due to abysmal dice and the Ch'in refused flank the noble Anglo-Norman KnF do not get into contact until another couple of bounds have passed. Then they ineffectually contact some Ch'in LHF that were threatening the flank of the Anglo- Norman foot command. This enables the Ch'in chariots, KnO, to contact them and do mayhem, in three bounds the Anglo-Norman CinC's command is disheartened, in another one it is broken, at no cost to the Ch'in chariot command.
The left-hand KnF command meanwhile is variously stalled by facing difficult going, and catches and kills a couple of LHF. But after 17 bounds (8.5 pairs) with 2 commands broken and losses off the foot command the Anglo-Norman army is defeated. The Ch'in lost 13 elements and had one command disheartened, so 22-3, in just 2 hours.
Statistics:
- There was no weather.
- There was baggage on both sides.

Observations:
1. When an irregular general gets a one he has little choice with impetuous troops.
2. The -2ME penalty did not end the game.
3. Setting up everything first did not cause a disadvantage.

And no problems with the rules, or as I remember, differences over interpretation.
