The Warlord Trophy

FOW Warlord Trophy 2015 Rules

Hits: 644

Many thanks to Hammy for creating the format for the Flames of  War section, which is as follows:

1) Each player to use the same force from any late war list throughout the competition.

(2) Players pick 2,000 points from their list and can use unto 1600 points from this per game (except for the final). This will allow slight adjustment of forces for each opponent.

(3) Table size 6' x 4' with three hours per game, with a short break in the middle, if there is time. At the end of the three hours, roll a single die to give the number of phases to complete to the end.

(4) To help determine the overall winner of the original Warlord Trophy from the four periods, each game (including the final) will be worth points: A win, 3 points; a score of 3 in a loss or incomplete game, 2 points; a score of 2 in a loss or incomplete game 1 point and a score of 1 for 0 points.

(5) The final will be 2,000 points, 8 x 4 table and of four hours play (again, with a short break in the middle, and 'phase' die roll at the end).

For normal games missions will be determined randomly according to the table in the rule book.

For the final the mission will be one of Hasty Attack, Fighting Withdrawal, Free for All, Encounter, Breakthrough or Cauldron selected at random on the roll of one D6.

All games are to be played at the MAWS venue in Walkden.

Rather than a strict schedule I propose players try to arrange games with either of the next two opponents on their list. Once one of these opponents has been played please let me have the result then try to arrange with the next two remaining players on the list.

Hopefully this table will come out correctly

Once we have a full set of games then there will be a semi final with 1st playing 4th and 2nd playing 3rd before the final to finish the sequence of games.

I hope that everyone who takes part has a series of great games and may your dice roll well.

Cheers

Hammy
